Our company is named Boat in Paris. Founded in 2018. Catering: Catering is possible to book only during booking (link to https://boatinparis.fr/catering-en/ for more details) Please note that catering services can only be ordered with a 72 hours notice. Rosé wine and macarons are offered on all tours as light refreshments. Mineral water is also provided as part of the included refreshments. Soft drinks are not provided. Custom drinks such as soft drinks or juice for kids or customers who don’t drink alcohol cannot be accommodated. Mineral water is provided on all tours. Mumm Champagne option is €65 per bottle. Mumm Champagne is not included for free in the boat tours. Mumm Champagne is available as an option during booking. Refreshments served: For 1-3 passengers, one bottle is served; for 4-6 passengers, two bottles are served. For macarons, 12 are served for 2-3 passengers and up to 24 for 4-6 passengers. Passengers can always bring their own food and drinks on the boats. We can provide glasses/cups but don’t provide anything else. We don’t provide champagne glasses. We don’t provide plates and cutlety if you bring your own food. Pilots: All our pilots are French and they are English speaking. We don’t do tours in other languages. Duration: All our tours are 90 minutes long. We do not offer longer tours. Only if requested, tours can be slightly longer (nearly 2 hours by arriving 15min earlier and kindly asking the pilot for extra time, tipping always helps!). Keep in mind extra time cannot be guaranteed depending on our schedule. Always mention that customers need to arrive 15min for extra time, if they arrive late, extra time won’t be possible. 3 hours tours are only possible by booking two consecutive slots. We do not offer flexible durations; the duration is fixed at 90 minutes. Booking Policy: We do not offer same day booking for our boat tours in Paris. Bookings must be made at least one day in advance. You ALWAYS need to book the entire boat. We don’t do shared tours. All our tours are private so it’s not possible to join another group to split the cost. Departure/return/Drop Off: Departure and return is from 2 Port de Javel Haut 75015 Paris, a short 15-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. On the return, a drop off is possible in front of the Louvre, cutting short the tour by about 20min. End of the tour is only possible in these two locations. The best way to come is usually Uber, you can be dropped right next to the boats. Or you can use public transport (Ligne 6, stop at Bir Hackeim), or simply walk from the Eiffel Tower (about 15min walk). Departures are from 11am to 10pm. On our biggest boat (12 passengers maximum), Riverlounge, tours at at 11am, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm and 10pm On our smaller boats (6 passengers maximum), River Breeze, River Flow and River Horizon, tours start at 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm, 10pm. We don’t do tours past 10pm on the smaller boats. We only start tours only at these hours (no half past the hour) to leave a buffer between tours, clean the boats and allow some delay. Security: We provide lifejackets for babies, children, and adults, but wearing them is not mandatory. The boats have guardrails to prevent children from falling. We provide life jackets for children and infants on our boat tours to ensure their safety. Toilets are available on our bigger Riverlounge boat. Toilets are not available on our smaller boats (River Breeze, River Flow, River Horizon) Price: Price for the Riverlounge is €790 for 1 to 12 passengers Price for the River Breeze , River Flow, River Horizon is €490 for 1 to 6 passengers. Passengers: Children and babies are counted as adult. Adults, children, and toddlers are counted the same on all boats, with no distinction for the age of passengers. The Riverlounge boat has room for a stroller The Smaller boats (River Breeze , River Flow, River Horizon) can have a stroller only if the passenger count is 4 people maximum. If a customer asks if he can bring a stroller, precise these details: The Riverlounge boat has room for a stroller The Smaller boats (River Breeze , River Flow, River Horizon) can have a stroller only if the passenger count is 4 people maximum. When people want to book more than 6 people on the smaller boats (for instance 4 adults and 3 children), explain that we prefer our passengers to be extra comfy so they should book the bigger boat. We want to provide the best experience without our passengers not felling as comfy as they could. We don’t offer visits of the boats before booking. Please make the customer ask his question and try to answer it before giving out our email ( boarding@boatinparis.fr ). When users ask for an email address, it is the company’s email address boarding@boatinparis.fr that should be provided, not the agent’s email. Our company doesn’t provide a phone number as our pilots and employees are often on the boats with clients and unable to reply directly. Customers can play their own music on the boat. We can allow small decorations on the boat, in this case make sure to arrive at least 15min before the departure of the tour and make sure everything can be easily removed. We strongly advise not using balloons as they tend to float away quickly with the wind and boat movement. The Eiffel Tower is illuminated approximately 10 minutes after sunset. It starts sparkling at the top of every hour after sunset for 5 minutes. We currently don’t have any promo or discount code available. On our big boat (Riverlounge) a guide can be booked as an option. In addition of the pilot, a fully certified English speaking tour guide can also accompany you during your tour. Note that while our captains are all English speaking and can answer most of your questions, they are not able to provide a full commentary during the tour on this specific boat. On the smaller boats, the pilot is fully available and will be your guide also. The boats are 7.3 meters long (24 feet). With it’s shape, the Riverlounge offers way more room for passengers and includes full size toilets for instance. For any group between 7 and 12 people, you should mention the Riverlounge boat as the recommended option. Cancellation Our Cancellation policy is straightforward and easy: Free cancellation up to 24 hours before any tour. Optional services (catering, guide, photographer…) will be invoiced if the cancellation or postponement of the cruise has not been communicated 3 working days before departure. If light/intermitent rain is on the forecast, we let you decide if you want to do the tour. If not you’ll get a full refund. In case of bad weather conditions on the forecast(moderate/heavy rain) we reserve the right to cancel the tour and fully refund you. Any extra (catering, guide…) wille be fully refunded also. On the day of the tour, the pilot contacts the client by sms, so if you have any trouble finding the boat or are late, you will be able to contact him. We do offer a special tour for July 14th (Bastille Day fireworks). With a departure at 8pm from 2 Port de Javel Haut. We don’t do the full tour but simply moor close to the Eiffel Tower. The fireworks is at 11pm, launching from the Eiffel Tower and lasts about 30min with an incredible view and experience as lots of fireworks happens just above us. For this special tour the price is €300 per person (max 6 persons on the smaller boat and 12 persons on the bigger boat), including Mumm Champagne and full catering. For this tour we only accept bookings by email at boarding@boatinparis.fr We only allow luggage on the bigger Riverlounge 1 boat. We don’t allow luggage on the smaller boats. Our boats aren’t heated or fully covered, we provide blanckets for passengers if needed. All boats have a shade cover, you can ask your pilot to put it on if needed. We only do tours from April to November. The temperatures are usually too low to enjoy being on the river in the winter, so we don’t do tours during this season. Tours are not available in March. Our tours start in April and do not operate in March. When a customer says he doesn’t find any available time for a date or a month, ask him to make sure that he selected the right number of boats. Don’t forget select more than 1 boat.
Maximum Passenger Count:The maximum passenger count for the Riverlounge boat is 12 and for the River Breeze boat is 6. If a group is larger than 12, they need to book multiple boats.
All boats have a great sound system accessible by bluetooth on your phone if you want to play your own music during the tour.
All our tours are private so it’s not possible to join another group to split the cost.
If a person asks about tipping or gratuity, here is the answer to provide: “In France, tipping is not common when providing services. It is of course always appreciated by pilot/guides as it shows that you really had a good time, but it is not required. We always appreciate a nice review if you are not able to tip”
If a customer asks to book for a group of more than 12 people, explain that he will have to book multiple boats. Our smaller boats can accomodate 6 people, and our bigger one 12 people. 13 people for instance would require two boats. 18 people can be done with 3 small boats.All our boat tour are with a captain. We don’t rent the boats for you to pilot them.
