Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the pickup/drop-off location?
The tour starts and finishes at the same location, at 2 Port de Javel haut 75015 Paris, a short 15min walk from the Eiffel Tower.
Can pickup or drop-off be somewhere else in Paris?
Embarkment and disembarkment can only be done at 2 Port de Javel Haut. If you’re in a hurry, disembarkment can be done right in front of the Louvre on the return. This reduces the tour duration by about 20min. You can ask your pilot for a drop-off at this location during the tour if needed.
Food/Drinks/Snacks
All our tours come with Rosé Wine (a bottle for 3 passagers, 2 bottles for 4-6 passengers and so on…), Macarons for your group and Mineral Water.
Catering Extras (champagne, finger food, juices…) can be ordered during booking. Please note that catering services can only be ordered with a 72 hours notice.
You are completely free to bring your own drinks and food on the boat.
Passengers can always bring their own food and drinks on the boats. We can provide cups but don’t provide anything else.
Departure hours
Our departure hours are fixed: Noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm, 10pm.
Certain hours are only available during certains period of the year.
We only start tours only at these hours (no half past the hour) to leave a buffer between tours, clean the boats and allow some delay.
What is the best time for a sunset tour?
Sunset time is highly variable in Paris during the year. We invite you to directly check sunset time for Paris here for instance: https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/france/paris
For a sunset tour, it is usually ideal to book a tour closest before the sunset when available.
What is the best time of the day to book a tour?
There is no best time! Some people prefer tours earlier in the day (less boats on the river), some prefer during the afternoon to best enjoy a nice weather, some prefer during the sunset with probably more boats on the river, some like tours at night (which might require to start the tour very late depending on the season). We are confident that you will enjoy the tour whatever the time you book, simple as that!
Cancellation policy / Bad Weather
Our cancellation policy is as straightforward as possible.
You can freely cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the cruise.
If the weather forecast shows light or intermittent rain, you can decide whether to go on the tour or not, and if you choose not to, you’ll get a full refund. For moderate or heavy rain, the tour may be canceled by us, and you will receive a full refund including any extra services booked.
Cruise duration
Our standard cruise duration is 90 minutes, which we believe offers the ideal balance for a private experience on the Seine. It is long enough to enjoy Paris’ most iconic landmarks at a relaxed pace, while remaining perfectly engaging from start to finish.
We do not offer longer cruises as a standard option. In some cases, and only upon request, your tour may be extended slightly to nearly 2 hours if you arrive 15 minutes early and kindly ask your pilot for a little extra time. Please note that this always depends on our schedule and cannot be guaranteed. In the event of a late arrival, any additional time will unfortunately not be possible.
For guests considering a longer experience, a 3-hour cruise is only possible by reserving two consecutive time slots. That said, after many years of operating private cruises in Paris, we genuinely believe that 90 minutes is the perfect duration. A shorter cruise may feel rushed and leave little time to fully take in the city’s main sights, while a longer one can begin to lose its natural rhythm.
Shorter cruises are possible on request, for example by turning back before reaching Notre-Dame though the price remains unchanged.
Can I play my own music?
All our boats are equiped with great sound systems. You can always play any song you’d like over bluetooth, just ask your pilot.
Eiffel Tower at night
The Eiffel Tower is illuminated approximately 10 minutes after sunset. It starts sparkling at the top of every hour after sunset for 5 minutes.
Shade/Cover
All boats have a shade cover, you can ask your pilot to put it on if needed.
Cold/Blankets
Our boats aren’t heated or fully covered, we provide blanckets for passengers if needed.
Tipping/Gratuity
Tipping is not very common when providing services in France. It is of course always appreciated by pilot/guides as it shows that you really had a good time with them, but it is not required. We always appreciate a nice review if you are not able to tip!
